Since 2001 Batavia Publishing is bringing out small and larger publications about the history and literature of the former Ne-therlands East Indies, Suriname, and the Netherlands Antilles. The first volumes of the series West-Indische Reeks and Anita Rambonnet Reeks are already published.

Fotografieën van Suriname: Paramaribo, de spoorweg en de dis-tricten  in  de  jaren  1900-1910 (Photographs  of  Suriname:  Para-maribo, the railway and the districts in the 1900-1910 years)

A photograph book, which will be composed of a collection from Rev. C.A. Hoekstra’s inheritance (at the time he was a Lutheran vicar in Paramaribo), and a number of photographs from other collections. These were made by, amongst others, the Curiël Sis-ters and Eugen Klein. This book will be published in the autumn of 2006.                     More information (Dutch)
